Well-beingMatters.

Most people don't fail because their goals are unclear. They fail because they lack systems that support consistency and accountability.

Many of us are pouring into everyone else while running on empty.

We're running on stress, quick meals, low protein intake, poor sleep, and exhaustion. Then we complain about the symptoms.

And we keep saying "I'm just tired."

But here's the reality: your body is not your last priority, it just needs adequate nourishment, fitness, and good sleep. Well-being becomes possible when we stop blaming ourselves and start addressing root causes with compassion and awareness.

That's why our check-ins are not about perfection, they're about awareness, support, and tracking progress together in a safe and encouraging space.

Evidence-based strategies for sustainable change.

In our community we use proven behaviour change strategies — because sustainable well-being is built on consistency, not restriction.

01

Habit Stacking

Build healthier routines by attaching new behaviors to existing daily habits.

02

Environment Design

Reduce the triggers and friction that pull you off course. When your environment supports you, consistency becomes the path of least resistance.

03

Mindset Reframing

Shift all-or-nothing thinking and create sustainable progress. Together we break punishing cycles and build lasting, compassionate awareness.

1-on-1 Accountability Sessions

A space to uncover root causes.

During sessions, my role is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help uncover the likely root causes behind current habits and behaviours. We focus on:

01

Your personal health story and current symptoms.

02

What you have already tried and how your body responded.

03

Review of any relevant labs or health markers when appropriate.

04

How your coaching programme and check-ins work.

You would learn how you can make your lives better. Learning about movement, serving sizes and food groups like fruits and vegetables are also important as they can help with some health issues people deal with like iron deficiency.

Why I started Well-being Matters.

As a way of giving back to society, Dr. Asowata founded the Well-being Matters community to channel her expertise and skills in public health nutrition to provide structured nutrition accountability for women and busy mothers to build the food literacy skills needed for healthy living.

The Well-being Matters mission is to empower beneficiaries with food literacy skills and provide community engagement to support healthy diets and lifestyles. We believe everyone deserves access to resources that empower them to make informed decisions about their health, regardless of their lived experiences and demographics.

Beyond Well-being Matters, Dr. Mary Oyewole-Asowata is a mixed-method researcher whose work focuses on how community environments affect nutrition, improving food access, and shaping the dietary behaviour of rural families within North Carolina.
